The following is the anticipated daytime work schedule for the week beginning Monday, December 2, 2019:
Thursday:
- Minor work to the signal system to increase the efficiency of the sensors. This work will not impact the traveling public.
Motorists should have minimal affect by this work. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
The following is an update of the construction to take place for the week beginning Monday, December 2, 2019.
Southbound I-91 bridge activities:
Monday through Friday:
- Weather permitting, continue girder erection
- Continue work on Pier 1
- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Work continues on the northbound abutment (#2) approach
Weather permitting, beginning at Exit 7 southbound, motorists can expect two daily rolling roadblocks between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm causing approximately a 30-minute delay.
NARROW LANES – REDUCED SPEEDS – USE CAUTION!

- Installation of street lighting within the James Brown Drive intersection
- Minor work to the signal system
Wednesday through Friday:
- No work due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday

- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Weather permitting, continue girder erection

Daily rolling roadblocks at approximately 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for southbound motorists starting at Exit 7, expect approximately a 30-minute delay.
