Middlebury-Starksboro VT 116
This project extends along VT 116 for approximately 20 miles from just south of Robinson School in Starksboro to the US 7/VT 116 intersection in Middlebury. Paving within Bristol Village is not included in this project.

Monday thru Friday:
- General cleanup work throughout the project limits in preparation for final paving beginning the week of September 17, 2018.
Motorists should expect minor delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.
For the week beginning Monday, September 03, 2018:
Monday: No work – Happy Labor Day!
Tuesday thru Friday:
- Prepping side roads and driveway tie-ins from Meehan Road, Bristol proceeding north to the end of the project limits in Starksboro.
Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.
For the week beginning Monday, August 27, 2018:
Monday thru Friday:
- Weather permitting, paving side roads and driveway tie-ins from Meehan Road, Bristol proceeding north to the end of the project limits in Starksboro.
Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.
For the week beginning Monday, August 20, 2018:
Monday:
- Weather permitting, paving of culvert crossing between Airport Road & VT Route 125 in E. Middlebury.
Monday thru Friday:
- Weather permitting, final paving to begin at Meehan Road, Bristol proceeding north to the end of the project limits in Starksboro. Then will relocate and pave south of Bristol to East Middlebury.
Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.
For the week beginning Monday, August 13, 2018:
Monday thru Wednesday:
- Completion of culvert crossing between Airport Road & VT Route 125 in E. Middlebury – Traffic will be 1 lane thru this area controlled by a traffic signal.
Wednesday thru Friday:
- Weather permitting, final paving to begin at Meehan Road, Bristol proceeding north to the end of the project limits in Starksboro.
The following is an update to the work schedule for the week beginning Monday, August 06, 2018:
Monday thru Friday:
- Continued culvert work between Airport Road & VT Route 125 in E. Middlebury – Traffic will be 1 lane thru this area controlled by a traffic signal.
- Relocation and/or replacement of various mailboxes throughout the project due to the widening of the roadway – homeowners have been directly notified of this work
Wednesday:
- Asphalt curb installation on “Stoney Hill” between So. Airport Road & Lovers Lane.
Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.
For the week beginning Monday, July 30, 2018:
Monday thru Friday:
- Cold planning the side road approaches and various approaches on the main line between E. Middlebury and Bristol
- Miscellaneous clean up work throughout the project.
We are awaiting notification on the culvert work that was postponed. I will post it if this gets scheduled for next week.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, July 23, 2018:
Monday thru Friday:
- Continued sign installation and miscellaneous shoulder work throughout the project.
The culvert work scheduled has been postponed until further notification.

The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, July 09, 2018:
Monday thru Friday:
- Continued sign installation between Bristol and Middlebury.
- Continued culvert replacement between VT-125 intersection to Cady Road. This culvert replacement will cause 1-way traffic controlled by a traffic signal with a 10’ wide lane restriction.
