Current Road Work
COUNT ON IT BUSINESS SERVICES, INC. works for several road/bridge contractors on projects in Southern Vermont providing Public Relations on specific projects.
Below is a list of current projects we now are working on.
BRIDGE #8 ON VT ROUTE 17 IS CLOSED TO TRAFFIC.
ALL motorists to follow the signed detour.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, June 11, 2018.
It is anticipated the contractor will be working 7 days/week to get this project completed.
Monday thru Sunday:
- Work continues on the removal of the existing bridge.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, June 04, 2018.
It is anticipated the contractor will be working 7 days/week to get this project completed.
Monday – 6:00am:
- BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC. Newly installed signs will guide motorists along the detour.
Monday thru Sunday:
- Removal of the existing bridge to begin.
For the week beginning May 28, 2018:
Monday: – No work due to the Memorial Day Holiday!
Tuesday thru Friday:
- Continued driving steel H piling that will be utilized to support the new structure while preparing for demolition of the existing bridge.
June 4, 2018 remains the anticipated closure date of the bridge. Signs will be uncovered when the detour begins.
All work this week will be between East Middlebury/Middlebury to Bristol on VT 116
Monday thru Wednesday:
- Weather permitting, continued paving.
Monday thru Friday:
- Various operations to include guardrail replacement and ditch work.
Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.
Monday thru Friday:
- Continued driving steel H piling that will be utilized to support the new structure while preparing for demolition of the existing bridge.
Motorists should expect traffic control to be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic.
June 4, 2018 remains the anticipated closure date of the bridge. Signs to be installed this week but will remain covered until the detour begins.
