Rockingham Bridges-I91

Tomorrow, July 13, 2018 will be the last of the rolling road blocks for the northbound bridge.  The anticipated times are as follows:

• Southbound:  approx.. 6:00am & 12:00pm for approx. 10 mins.
• Northbound:  approx.  5:30am & 8:00am for approx.. 20 mins.(the 8:00am will include a repair to a pothole forming)

For the week beginning Monday, July 16, 2018:

 Monday thru Friday:

• Preparation work on the set girders in anticipation of concrete.

For the week beginning Monday, July 09, 2018:

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

 Monday:

• Dismantle one crane to relocate (this may go into Tuesday)

 Tuesday thru Friday:

• Complete beam erection with daily rolling road blocks see below
• Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road

  I-91 APPROX. ROLLING ROAD BLOCK SCHEDULES for beam deliveries:

• Southbound: . 7:30am & 12:00pm for approx. 10 mins.
• Northbound:   8:30am & 2:00pm for approx.. 20 mins.

NOTE:  If all beams are set by Thursday afternoon there will not be any rolling road blocks for Friday.

Please note rolling road block times could vary due to unforeseen circumstances.

*  The northbound rolling road blocks also includes the Exit 6 on ramp.  Motorists may want to detour on Route 5 to use the Exit 7 on ramp in Springfield to avoid delays.

The schedule beginning Friday, June 29, 2018 thru Tuesday, July 3, 2018 @ noon:

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

• Continued beam erection on Pier 1 and to Pier 2
• Erect 16000lb crane to Abutment 1 – southbound
• Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road

Work to resume on Monday, July 09, 2018.

I-91 APPROX. ROLLING ROAD BLOCK SCHEDULES for beam deliveries:
– Friday: Approx.. 5:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 6:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.
– Saturday: Approx. 2:30am & 4:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 3:15am & 7:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.
– Sunday: Approx.. 5:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 6:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.
– Monday: Approx. 2:30am & 4:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 3:15am & 7:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.
– Tuesday: Approx.. 5:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 6:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

 Monday thru SUNDAY – Daytime:

 I-91 ROLLING ROAD BLOCKS  to allow for beam deliveries:

• 2 daily southbound for approx.. 15 minutes
• 2 daily northbound* for approx.. 30 minutes
• Please note rolling road block times could vary due to avoidance of peak traffic flow and/or due to unforeseen circumstances.

 * The northbound rolling road blocks also include the Exit 6 on ramp.  Motorists may want to follow the detour on Route 5 to use the Exit 7 on ramp in Springfield to avoid delays.  Oversize trucks must follow their permitted route. 

• Continued beam erection from Abutment 2 to Pier 2
• Begin beam erection from Pier 1 to Pier 2
• Complete backfilling Abutment 1
• Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road

For the week beginning, June 18, 2018:

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

 Monday thru Friday – Daytime:

 I-91 ROLLING ROAD BLOCKS  to allow for beam deliveries:

At approx.. 8:00am and 11:00am southbound for approximately 30 minutes

At approx.. 10:00am and 2:00pm northbound* for approximately 30 minutes

Please note rolling road block times could vary due to unforeseen circumstances.

* The northbound rolling road blocks also include the Exit 6 on ramp.  Motorists may want to follow the detour on Route 5 to use the Exit 7 on ramp in Springfield to avoid delays.  Oversize trucks must follow their permitted route. 

• Continued beam erection
• Complete removing forms from Abutment 1
• Cleanup of Abutment 1 and begin backfilling
• Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road

For the week beginning Monday, June 11, 2018:

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

Daily I-91 ROLLING ROAD BLOCKS  to allow for beam deliveries:

At approx.. 8:00am and 11:00am southbound for approximately 30 minutes

At approx.. 10:00am and 2:00pm northbound* for approximately 30 minutes

• Complete Abutment 1 support walls and remove forms
• Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road

For the week beginning Monday, June 4, 2018:

Monday thru Friday – Daytime:

• Continued installing beam support hardware on Piers
• Continue mobilizing cranes to needed locations
• Continue receiving beams at the lay-down area
• Continued preparation to begin beam erection to begin Thursday
• Continued concrete work on Abutment 1 for support walls
• Complete backfilling at abutment 2 and construct crane pad
• Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road

Thursday – I-91 ROLLING ROAD BLOCKS  to allow for beam deliveries:

• 8:00am and 11:00am southbound for approximately 30 minutes
• 10:00am and 2:00pm northbound for approximately 30 minutes

 Friday – I-91 ROLLING ROAD BLOCKS  to allow for beam deliveries:

• 8:00am southbound for approximately 30 minutes
• 10:00am northbound for approximately 30 minutes

Work on the northbound bridge for the week beginning Monday, May 28, 2018:

Monday:

• No work due to the Memorial Day Holiday!

 Tuesday thru Friday – Daytime:

• Complete installation of beam support towers for Piers 1, 2 & 3
• Continued work on Abutment 1 footings & support wall
• Mobilization of large erection cranes to trestle and abutment 2
• Preparation to begin beam erection
• Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road

Monday, May 21, 2018 at 1:00pm there will be a short I-91 southbound rolling road block to allow for some minor bridge deck maintenance.

• Continue work on girder erection support tower on Pier 1
• Complete installation of beam support towers for Piers 2 & 3
• Continued work on Abutment 1 footings
• Continue moving trestle beams to accommodate for beam erection
• Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road
