Rockingham Bridges-I91
The Vermont Agency of Transportation in conjunction with the design/build team of Reed & Reed, Inc. will complete bridge replacement on the I-91 bridges #24S & 24N over the Williams River in Rockingham, VT. This project has an anticipated completion date of September 2021.
I-91 NORTHBOUND & SOUTHBOUND ARE REDUCED TO ONE LANE WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE.
I-91 NORTHBOUND MOTORISTS SHOULD BE AWARE OF MERGING RAMP TRAFFIC ENTERING THE ROADWAY!

The following is an update of the construction to take place for the week beginning Monday, December 23, 2019.
Southbound I-91 bridge activities:
Monday through Friday:
- No work due to the Christmas holiday
- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Girder prep work at the southbound weigh station north of the bridge
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devices
Please note there will be girders delivered onto the project site.

Monday through Friday:
- Weather permitting, continue girder erection
- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Girder prep work at the southbound weigh station north of the bridge
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devices
Weather permitting, beginning at Exit 7 southbound, motorists can expect two daily rolling roadblocks between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm causing approximately a 30-minute delay.

Monday through Saturday:
- Continue work on Pier 2
- Place Pier 1 cap
- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach

- Continue receiving girders onsite
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devises
Wednesday through Friday:
- Weather permitting, begin setting girders on Pier 3 utilizing the rolling roadblocks allowing to facilitate the girder erection.
- At approximately 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. starting at Exit 7, motorists can expect a rolling roadblock for approximately a 30-minute delay to allow for beam deliveries. These deliveries will be through Friday and continue the following Monday through Friday.

I-91 SOUTHBOUND ROLLING ROADBLOCKS NOTIFICATION:
Beginning October 28, 2019, weather permitting at 7:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. starting at Exit 7, motorists can expect a rolling roadblock for approximately a 30-minute delay to allow for beam deliveries. These deliveries will be Monday through Friday.
