Rockingham Bridges-I91
The Vermont Agency of Transportation in conjunction with the design/build team of Reed & Reed, Inc. will complete bridge replacement on the I-91 bridges #24S & 24N over the Williams River in Rockingham, VT. This project has an anticipated completion date of September 2021.
I-91 NORTHBOUND & SOUTHBOUND ARE REDUCED TO ONE LANE WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE.
I-91 NORTHBOUND MOTORISTS SHOULD BE AWARE OF MERGING RAMP TRAFFIC ENTERING THE ROADWAY!

The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Tuesday, October 15, 2019
Southbound I-91 bridge activities:
Tuesday through Friday:
- Continue work on Pier 2
- Form work for placing shaft 2 at Pier 1
- Breakdown of old Pier 1
- Work continues at the northbound abutment (#2) approach
- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Begin receiving girders onsite
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devises.
I-91 SOUTHBOUND ROLLING ROADBLOCKS NOTIFICATION:
Beginning October 24, 2019, weather permitting at 7:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. starting at Exit 7, motorists can expect a rolling roadblock for approximately a 30-minute delay to allow for beam deliveries. These deliveries will be Monday through Friday.

- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devises.

- Complete demolition of the old southbound Piers
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devises.

- Stripping Pier 3 cap forms
- Continue work on Pier 2 for cap placement
- Form work for placing Pier 1 footing

- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Continue demolition of the old southbound Pier 2
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devises.
