Rockingham Bridges-I91
The Vermont Agency of Transportation in conjunction with the design/build team of Reed & Reed, Inc. will complete bridge replacement on the I-91 bridges #24S & 24N over the Williams River in Rockingham, VT. This project has an anticipated completion date of September 2021.
I-91 NORTHBOUND & SOUTHBOUND ARE REDUCED TO ONE LANE WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE.
I-91 NORTHBOUND MOTORISTS SHOULD BE AWARE OF MERGING RAMP TRAFFIC ENTERING THE ROADWAY!

Below is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, August 5, 2019:
Southbound I-91 bridge activities:
Monday through Friday:
- Nighttime activity is done until further notice
- Continue substructure removal
- Continue placing Pier 3 shaft section 3
- Continue Pier 2 shaft work
- Grade work on the northbound abutment
- Demolition of the southbound abutment
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devises.

- Continue removal of the existing southbound bridge to include floor beams
- Continue substructure removal

NOTE: New summer hours begins this week with double shifts as follows:
- Monday: 7am to 6pm
- Tuesday thru Thursday: 6am to 6pm
- Friday: 6am to noon
- Monday thru Thursday: 6pm to 6am

Due to the weather conditions this week causing delays in the line striping, the Exit 6 southbound off-ramp will not re-open at the end of the workday today. Motorists can expect it to be open by noon time tomorrow Friday, June 07, 2019.
