The following is the anticipated schedule for the I-91 Rockingham Bridges

 

The schedule beginning Friday, June 29, 2018 thru Tuesday, July 3, 2018 @ noon:

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

  • Continued beam erection on Pier 1 and to Pier 2
  • Erect 16000lb crane to Abutment 1 – southbound
  • Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road

Work to resume on Monday, July 09, 2018.

I-91 APPROX. ROLLING ROAD BLOCK SCHEDULES for beam deliveries:
– Friday: Approx.. 5:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 6:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.
– Saturday: Approx. 2:30am & 4:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 3:15am & 7:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.
– Sunday: Approx.. 5:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 6:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.
– Monday: Approx. 2:30am & 4:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 3:15am & 7:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.
– Tuesday: Approx.. 5:00am southbound for approx. 10 mins. and approx. 6:30am northbound for approx. 20mins.

Please note rolling road block times could vary due to unforeseen circumstances.
* The northbound rolling road blocks also includes the Exit 6 on ramp. Motorists may want to detour on Route 5 to use the Exit 7 on ramp in Springfield to avoid delays.

The following is the anticipated work schedule for the VT 116 project:

For the week beginning Monday,  July 02, 2018:

Monday to Tuesday @ noon; Thursday & Friday:

  • Continued shoulder cleanup between Cobble Road, New Haven & Quarry Road, E. Middlebury.
  • Sign installation between Bristol and Starksboro
  • Begin culvert replacement between VT-125 intersection to Cady Road. This culvert replacement will cause 1-way traffic controlled by a traffic signal with a 10’ wide lane restriction.

 Wednesday – No work due to the Independence Day holiday. 

 Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.

The anticipated schedule for the VT Route 2 & 2A is as follows:

Monday, July 2, 2018 – 7:00pm to 6:00am

• Milling and paving on Route 2 eastbound between Gregory Drive to the So. Burlington/Williston Town line, between Calkins Court & Munson Court and within the Brownell Road Intersection for repair work.
• Line striping on Route 2A near the VT State Police Barracks.

Motorist be aware that traffic control will be present causing 1-lane of alternating travel within the construction areas.

Friday, June 29, 2018 on VT 117

The anticipated construction activities (weather permitting) are as follows:

  • Prepping and paving the milled surface within the VT-289 on/off ramps.
  • Continued underdrain work between N. Williston Road and the Essex/Jericho town line.

Motorists may choose to seek alternate routes as they can expect delays during peak hours. Traffic control will be present allowing for 1-lane of alternating traffic within the construction zones.

For the week beginning Monday,  July 02, 2018:

Monday to Tuesday @ noon; Thursday & Friday:

  • Continue installing underdrain from the intersection of VT 289 to N. Williston Road on the east side of the roadway.
  • Continue thinning and trimming trees between N. Williston Road to the Route 2 Intersection.

 Wednesday:

  • No work due to the Independence Day Holiday

Commuting motorists should seek alternate routes.  Traffic will be delayed during peak hours.  Traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.

The following is the anticipated work schedule on Bridge #8:

For the week beginning Monday, July 02, 2018. 

The contractor will be working thru the Independence Day holiday in accordance with their schedule.

 

Monday thru Sunday:

  • Continue setting forms in preparation for placement of concrete deck.
  • Constructing new roadway approaches to the bridge.

Abutment

 

 

Tomorrow, 6/28/18 anticipated construction activities (weather permitting) are as follows:

– Continued underdrain work between N. Williston Road and the Essex/Jericho town line.
– Trimming tree limbs from the start of the VT State Highway in Essex to the Sand Hill Road intersection.
 
Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for 1-lane of alternating traffic within the construction zones with extended delays during rush hour commutes.

6/27/18 anticipated construction activities are as follows:

– Cold planning the east bound lane around and between VT 117 & the VT 289 on/off ramps.
– Underdrain work between N. Williston Road and the Essex/Jericho town line.
 
Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for 1-lane of alternating traffic within the construction zones.

The following is the anticipated work schedule for the VT 117 project:

The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday,  June 25, 2018:

 Monday thru Friday:

  • Begin installing under drain from the intersection of 289 to N. Williston Road on the east side of the roadway.
  • Thinning and trimming trees between 289 to N. Williston Road
  • Preventative roadway maintenance at the On/Off Ramps at the 289 & 117 intersections.

Commuting motorists should seek alternate routes.  Traffic will be delayed during peak hours.  Traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.

For the week beginning Monday, June 25, 2018:

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

 Monday thru SUNDAY – Daytime:

 I-91 ROLLING ROAD BLOCKS  to allow for beam deliveries:

  • 2 daily southbound for approx.. 15 minutes
  • 2 daily northbound* for approx.. 30 minutes
  • Please note rolling road block times could vary due to avoidance of peak traffic flow and/or due to unforeseen circumstances.

 * The northbound rolling road blocks also include the Exit 6 on ramp.  Motorists may want to follow the detour on Route 5 to use the Exit 7 on ramp in Springfield to avoid delays.  Oversize trucks must follow their permitted route. 

  • Continued beam erection from Abutment 2 to Pier 2
  • Begin beam erection from Pier 1 to Pier 2
  • Complete backfilling Abutment 1
  • Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road
