The anticipated work schedule on VT 117 for May 01, 2019

  • Reclaiming of the roadway surface continues from north 
    of Bradley Bow Road, Jericho to Rogers Lane, 
    Richmond.
  • Continued drainage improvements from the
    Essex/Jericho town line to Skunk Hollow Road.
  • Continue guardrail work from the Essex/Jericho town line
    to Skunk Hollow Road.

Rockingham Bridges I-91

The new northbound bridge is now open to one-lane of northbound traffic. The southbound bridge remains open to one-lane of southbound traffic until the new crossovers are built.

The Exit 6 On-Ramp is also reopened to traffic.

Use caution. Narrow Lanes.

  • Continue guardrail work from Barber Farm Road to Skunk Hollow Road.
  • Continued drainage improvements from the Essex/Jericho town line to Skunk Hollow Road.

The anticipated work schedule on VT 117 for the week beginning April 29, 2019

Monday thru Friday:

  • Reclaiming of the roadway surface between Skunk Hollow Road and the VT Route 117/US Route 2 intersection. 
  • Roadway excavation to begin at the Essex/Jericho town line proceeding east throughout the week.
  • Signal work at the intersection of VT 289 and VT Route 117.

Monday thru Wednesday:

  • Continued Guardrail work throughout the project limits.

Motorist should expect delays!

Traffic control will be present allowing for one-lane of alternating travel within the construction zones. 

Rockingham Bridges I-91

The following is the anticipated work schedule on the I-91 bridges for the week beginning Monday, April 29, 2019:

Monday thru Friday:

  • Work begins on building the crossover to re-route all traffic onto the NB Bridge
  • Work continues on SB Pier #3 to include placement of 2nd shaft
  • Prep work for 1st placement of concrete at SB Pier #2

Tomorrow, April 26, 2019 @ 6:30a.m.:

  • Weather permitting, there will be a I-91 northbound rolling road block for line striping before northbound motorists will be directed onto one lane of the newly constructed bridge.  Motorists can anticipate approximately a 25-minute delay in their travels.  Southbound traffic will still travel over one lane of the existing southbound bridge until a crossover is built.  
  • I-91 Exit 6 northbound On-Ramp will be opened up within an hour after the rolling road block clears and traffic is back up to speed over to the new I-91 Northbound Bridge.

Please note:  If weather does not permit this to happen then the rain date will be for Monday, April 29, 2019 @ 9:30a.m.

The anticipated schedule on VT 116

The following is an update to the work schedule for the week beginning April 29, 2019:

Monday:

  • Weather permitting, paving in Bristol at the VT-116/VT-17/Burpee Road intersection along with the surrounding area of Airport Road in preparation of final paving.

Tuesday thru Friday:

  • Installation of center line rumble strip throughout the project limits.
  • General cleanup work throughout the project limits.

Motorists should expect delays with traffic control present allowing for 1-lane of alternating traffic within the construction zone.
