***** SOUTHBOUND CROSSOVER OPENING ****
TUESDAY, JUNE 04, 2019:
- Beginning at 9:30am there will be a rolling roadblock for southbound motorists in preparation of opening the southbound crossover. Motorists can anticipate approximately a 20-minute delay in their travels. If time does not allow for all work to be completed within the 20 minutes, there will be another rolling roadblock at 11:00am for approximately another 20-minute delay.
JUNE 4, 2019 THRU JUNE 6, 2019:
EXIT 6 SOUTHBOUND OFF-RAMP WILL BE CLOSED AT 9:30am June 4, 2019 until the end of the work day June 6, 2019. Motorists will be detoured using Exit 7 Off-Ramp then follow the signed detour on Route 5 southbound. All trucks over 14’ high will follow a signed detoured using Route 11.

The following is an update to the work schedule for the week beginning May 20, 2019:
Monday thru Friday @ noon:
- General cleanup work throughout the project limits.
Monday – Tuesday:
- Weather permitting, completion of pavement markings on abutting side road approaches throughout the project.
Motorists should expect minimal delays with traffic control present allowing for 1-lane of alternating traffic within the construction zone.
The following is the anticipated work schedule on the I-91 bridges for the week beginning Monday, May 20, 2019:
Monday thru Friday:
- Work continues on the installation of the southbound crossover to include paving, shoulders and guardrail work.
- Work continues on SB Pier #3.
- Continue work for the 2nd shaft placement on Pier #2.
- Continue installation of the southbound traffic control devises.
