The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, September 23, 2019
Southbound I-91 bridge activities:
Monday through Friday:
- Stripping Pier 3 cap forms
- Continue work on Pier 2 for cap placement
- Form work for placing Pier 1 footing
- Work continues at the northbound abutment (#2) approach
- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Continue demolition of the old southbound Pier 2
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devises.
The following is the anticipated daytime work schedule for the week beginning Monday, September 23, 2019.
Monday through Friday – 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.:
- Continue shaping & ditch cleanup after nighttime excavation work
Motorists should have minimal affect by this work. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Pedestrians will be detoured around the work area.
Monday through Thursday – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.:
- Continue widening of the east side of Route 2A.
Traffic control will be present allowing for one-lane of alternating traffic within the work area. Motorists should plan for delays.
Please use caution while traveling thru the work zone.

- Begin side road and large driveway tie-ins starting at the Essex end of the project working east.
- Continue signal work at the intersection of VT 289
- Bridge joint work near Barber Farm Road

- Weather permitting, begin paving abutting side road and driveway tie-ins beginning on the Essex end of the project working east.
Monday & Tuesday:
- Weather permitting, bridge joint work near Barber Farm Road.

Southbound I-91 bridge activities:
Saturday, Monday through Friday:
- Continue forming and placing Pier 3 cap
- Continue work on Pier 2 shaft
- Work continues at the northbound abutment (#2) approach
- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Continue demolition of the existing southbound Pier’s 2 and 3
- Continue work at the new Pier 1
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devises.
