MOTORISTS SHOULD PLAN FOR DELAYS
Traffic control will be present allowing for one-lane of alternating travel within the construction zone.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Saturday, October 5, 2019
Southbound I-91 bridge activities:
Saturday, Monday through Friday:
- Continue work on Pier 2 for cap placement
- Continue form work for placing shaft 1 at Pier 1
- Work continues at the northbound abutment (#2) approach
- Work continues on the southbound abutment (#1) approach
- Continue maintenance of traffic control devises.
NARROW LANES – REDUCED SPEEDS – USE CAUTION!
The following is the anticipated daytime work schedule for the week beginning Monday, October 7, 2019.
Monday through Friday – 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.:
- Continue ditch and shoulder work south of Morgan Parkway
- Widening work on James Brown Drive – flaggers will be present
Motorists should have minimal affect by this work. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Pedestrians will be detoured around the work area.
Monday through Friday – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.:
- It is in hopes that night work will not be necessary (providing the 2A widening gets completed tonight & tomorrow night 10/3& 10/4) . If necessary, widening work will continue and Traffic control will be present allowing for one-lane of alternating traffic within the work area. Motorists should plan for delays.
