  • Beginning at 9:00am motorists should expect traffic control present for intermittent 1-way traffic for ditch work on Route 2 between Shunpike Road and Industrial Avenue.

  • 9:00am  Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase between N. Williston Road and Greenfield Road.
  • 7:00am  Culvert replacement just west of the Barber Farm Road intersection.

For the week beginning Saturday, August 18, 2018:

 Saturday:

  • 7:00 am Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase from approximately N. Williston Road proceeding west through the Sand Hill Road intersection.

Monday thru Friday:

  • Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase working westbound to Tiffany Lane, Essex.
  • Slope stabilization work continues between Barber Farm Road and the US Route 2 intersection, Richmond.
  • Culvert replacement just west of the Barber Farm Road intersection.
  • Underdrain work continues between Barber Farm Road and US Route 2 intersection.

 

Motorists please be aware:

  • There will not be a center line from the Essex/Jericho Town line to Tiffany Lane
  • Rough roadway surface
  • Please drive slowly & use caution!  

Commuting motorists should seek alternate routes.  Expect delays during peak hours!

Traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.

VT 117 – August 17 & 18, 2018

The anticipated work schedule for Friday is:

  • 8:30 am Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase from approximately N. Williston Road proceeding west through the Sand Hill Road intersection.  This phase includes adding a stabilize agent added to the subbase. This agent takes time to cure causing a maximum of 2 hour lane restriction after installation is completed.
  • 7:00 am Continued road maintenance due to the recent rain from Sand Hill Road and Tiffany Lane.

The anticipated work schedule for Saturday is:

  • 7:00 am Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase from approximately N. Williston Road proceeding west through the Sand Hill Road intersection.

Motorists should expect traffic control with lane closures allowing for alternating traffic.

  • Continued removal of old concrete pier
  • If time allows, begin causeway removal
  • General cleanup work throughout

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

Monday thru Thursday – 5:00pm to 5:00am:
Monday thru Friday – Daytime:

  • Continued preparation work on the set girders to include concrete pours in anticipation of pouring the new bridge decking.
  • Begin post tension process of the girders.
  • Begin installation of overhang brackets.

 Monday:

  •  Weather permitting, paving of culvert crossing between Airport Road & VT Route 125 in E. Middlebury.

Monday thru Friday:

  • Weather permitting, final paving to begin at Meehan Road, Bristol proceeding north to the end of the project limits in Starksboro. Then will relocate and pave south of Bristol to East Middlebury.

Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.

  • 8:30am  The 2nd reclaiming phase to continue in the eastbound lane between the Essex/Jericho town line and N. Williston Road.  This phase includes adding a stabilize agent added to the subbase. This agent takes time to cure causing a maximum of 2 hour lane restriction after installation is completed.
  • 7:00am  Continued slope stabilization work between VT-289 on-ramps and Greenfield Road.

Motorists should expect traffic control with lane closures allowing for alternating traffic.
