The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, June 04, 2018.
It is anticipated the contractor will be working 7 days/week to get this project completed.
Monday – 6:00am:
- BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC. Newly installed signs will guide motorists along the detour.
Monday thru Sunday:
- Removal of the existing bridge to begin.
The following is the anticipated schedule on Route 2 for the week beginning Monday, June 04, 2018:
Monday thru Friday: Daytime – 6:30am to 7:00pm
- Work continues on the installation of the traffic signals at both the Harvest Lane/Blair Park and North Brownell Roads intersections.
- Drainage work between the Harvest Lane/Blair Park and North Brownell Roads intersections in the westbound lane.
Motorist be aware that we are going to try to maintain 2-way traffic at all times however use caution while traveling thru the construction areas.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, June 04, 2018:
All work this week will be between East Middlebury/Middlebury to Bristol on VT 116
Monday thru Friday:
- Continued guardrail replacement and ditch work.
Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.
For the week beginning Monday, May 28, 2018:
All work this week will be between East Middlebury/Middlebury to Bristol on VT 116
Monday:
- No work due to the Memorial Day Holiday.
Tuesday & Wednesday:
- Weather permitting, continued paving.
Tuesday thru Friday:
- Continued various operations to include guardrail replacement and ditch work.
Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.
Work on the northbound bridge for the week beginning Monday, May 28, 2018:
Monday:
- No work due to the Memorial Day Holiday!
Tuesday thru Friday – Daytime:
- Complete installation of beam support towers for Piers 1, 2 & 3
- Continued work on Abutment 1 footings & support wall
- Mobilization of large erection cranes to trestle and abutment 2
- Preparation to begin beam erection
- Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road
For the week beginning May 28, 2018:
Monday: – No work due to the Memorial Day Holiday!
Tuesday thru Friday:
- Continued driving steel H piling that will be utilized to support the new structure while preparing for demolition of the existing bridge.
June 4, 2018 remains the anticipated closure date of the bridge. Signs will be uncovered when the detour begins.
Monday, May 21, 2018 at 1:00pm there will be a short I-91 southbound rolling road block to allow for some minor bridge deck maintenance.
- Continue work on girder erection support tower on Pier 1
- Complete installation of beam support towers for Piers 2 & 3
- Continued work on Abutment 1 footings
- Continue moving trestle beams to accommodate for beam erection
- Truck traffic on Golden Hill Road
All work this week will be between East Middlebury/Middlebury to Bristol on VT 116
