VT 117 – August 24 & 25, 2018

The anticipated work schedule for Friday, August 24, 2018 is as follows:

  • Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase between Sand Hill Road and Valley View Road – skipping over the temporary pavement within the VT-289 intersection.
  • Underdrain work between Skunk Hollow and Barber Farm Roads

The anticipated work schedule for Saturday, August 25, 2018 is as follows:

  • Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase between Valley View Road and Tiffany Lane.

Motorists expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the work zone.

The following is the work schedule on VT 116:

For the week beginning Monday, August 27, 2018:

Monday thru Friday:

  • Weather permitting, paving side roads and driveway tie-ins from Meehan Road, Bristol proceeding north to the end of the project limits in Starksboro.

Motorists should expect delays as traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.

For the week beginning Monday, August 27, 2018:

Monday thru Friday:

  • Continued removal of old concrete pier
  • If time allows, begin causeway removal
  • General cleanup work throughout 

There should be minimal impact on traffic.

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

Monday thru Thursday – 5:00pm to 5:00am:
Monday thru Friday – Daytime:

  • Continue installation of overhang.
  • Begin installing the steel decking
  • Begin removal of temporary supports that held the beams.

REED & REED WILL CONTINUE WORKING A NIGHT SHIFT.

VT 117 – August 23, 2018

The anticipated work activities are as follows:

  • 7:00am Continue underdrain work between Skunk Hollow and Barber Farm Roads.
  • 8:00am Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase between Sand Hill Road and Tiffany Lane – skipping over the temporary pavement within the VT-289 intersection.

  • Abutting driveway prep along with structure adjustment work needed between VT-289 and Tiffany Lane to continue reclaiming the remainder of the week.
  • Underdrain work between Skunk Hollow and Barber Farm Roads

Route 2 schedule update

Due to the weather forecast tomorrow, the anticipated schedule on Route 2 has changed to:

Thursday, August 23, 2018:

  • 9:00am motorists should expect traffic control present for intermittent 1-way traffic for ditch work on Route 2 eastbound between Shunpike Road and Industrial Avenue.

  • Beginning at 9:00am motorists should expect traffic control present for intermittent 1-way traffic for ditch work on Route 2 between Shunpike Road and Industrial Avenue.

VT 117 – August 21, 2018

The anticipated work schedule is as follows:

  • 9:00am  Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase between N. Williston Road and Greenfield Road.
  • 7:00am  Culvert replacement just west of the Barber Farm Road intersection.

For the week beginning Saturday, August 18, 2018:

 Saturday:

  • 7:00 am Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase from approximately N. Williston Road proceeding west through the Sand Hill Road intersection.

Monday thru Friday:

  • Weather permitting, continue 2nd reclaiming phase working westbound to Tiffany Lane, Essex.
  • Slope stabilization work continues between Barber Farm Road and the US Route 2 intersection, Richmond.
  • Culvert replacement just west of the Barber Farm Road intersection.
  • Underdrain work continues between Barber Farm Road and US Route 2 intersection.

 

Motorists please be aware:

  • There will not be a center line from the Essex/Jericho Town line to Tiffany Lane
  • Rough roadway surface
  • Please drive slowly & use caution!  

Commuting motorists should seek alternate routes.  Expect delays during peak hours!

Traffic control will be present allowing for one lane of alternating traffic within the construction areas.
